A RARE PAIR OF CHINESE EXPORT FIGURES OF SEATED PUG DOGS
Mock Meissen double cross-swords mark, Qianlong (1736-1795)
Seated on their haunches with their bushy tails curled around a hind leg and slightly open mouth revealing two small sharp teeth, each wearing a collar with a pendent gilt bell, their fur naturalistically painted in rouge-de-fer, their bellies reserved in white, some damage and repair
