A pair of Russian silver parcel-gilt two-handled small tureens and covers
Apparently unmarked, dated 1716
Each of inverted pear-shape, on three claw feet surmounted by a mask, the sides variously engraved with roundels of figural scenes flanked by leafy scrolls, the sides applied with two lion mask handles suspending loose rings, the stepped reeded covers engraved with flowers and surmounted by a snake finial, the interior gilt, the handles, feet and rims with traces of gilt, the bases inscribed with an inscription in Cyrillic and dated 1716, with scratched inventory marks and weight numbers
