The central panel is a copy after an anonymous 15th century Flemish painting in the Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten, Antwerp. The figures depicted on the wings are copied from the Virgin and Child with St. Donatian, St. George and Canon van der Paele by Jan van Eyck in the Groeningemuseum, Bruges.
