Howard (op cit, vol 2, p 660) tells us these are the arms of the Lloyds of The Manor, Lloyd's Neck, Long Island, as used by the Hon James Lloyd, US Senator from Massachusetts; the service likely made for the Yale-educated John Nelson Lloyd, who inherited the 1800-acre estate.
