A figure stands in a gilt-columned doorway before steps flanked by further gilt columns, all within puce scrollwork suspending gilt Masonic emblems, the motto above PULSANTI APERIETUR, a skull and crossbones below, floral clusters at the sides and in the center

Pulsanti aperietur may be translated to he that knocketh the door will be opened, and, as Hervouët & Bruneau point out (ibid), this bowl was likely presented to or ordered by a new Masonic initiate, who is shown at the entrance of the Temple. Apparently unique.
