With oval plate flanked by rocaille and foliate scroll ornament and with outer scroll detail and eagle heads with flowers hanging from their mouths, below a projecting egg and dart moulded cornice

Lot Essay

This mirror may well have originally formed part of a panelled interior similar to the Norfolk House Music room, now re-assembled in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and an early expression of the French Rococo style.
