THE CABINET AND STAND EARLY 18TH CENTURY, THE DOORS REPLACED IN THE 19TH CENTURY
The doors (not shown in the photo) with painted satinwood panels (now warped) depicting chinamen fighting a lion and a dragon, the drawers japanned in the Chinese taste with birds, flowers, trees and buildings, the cabinet sides re-japanned in the 19th century with neo-classical motifs and applied with various early 19th century prints, japanning and decoration refreshed overall
