Founded in 1951 the Sao Paulo Art Biennial is the oldest in the world, second only to Venice. Held in the Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion in the Parque do Ibirapuera, it showcases Brazilian and International artists and is considered one of the most important cultural events in the country's calendar.
