Massively constructed and still relatively primary in every respect with its seductive and wonderfully complex blend of spice and black pinot fruit plus a pungent, penetrating minerality that leads to still firm medium-bodied flavors supported by vibrant acidity and simply huge length. The tannins coat the mouth yet they are ripe and the wine exudes balance and harmony and while this is stunning now, it is still not completely ready. Tasted: May 25, 2010 ALLEN MEADOWS
