A pair of Meissen comports
each with a shallow bowl painted to the centre with insects around a loose spray of flowers within borders pierced with stylised flowerheads and applied to the exterior with trailing blooms, above gadrooned sections and tree trunk stems, within three classical figures of maidens, possibly the Graces, each wearing loose drapes, on mound bases moulded and gilt with scrolls, blue crossed swords marks, incised 2685, Pressnummern 120 and 58 -- 12¼in. (31cm.) high (minor damages)
