Depicting an eagle on a waisted and foliate clasped pedestal and drapery carved plinth, with plaque: THIS LECTERN WAS PROVIDED BY MEMBERS OF THE CONGREGATION OF S. AUBYN CHURCH AS A THANK-OFFERING TO ALMIGHTY GOD ON THE SIXTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ACCESSION OF QUEEN VICTORIA. JUNE 20TH 1897'
