Each modelled with a fruiting swagged classical urn with berried finial, supported on two bifurcating hoofed supports on a draped base terminating in a pine cone finial on toupie feet, stamped 'B&C 350'

Lot Essay

The bronziers Bouhon et Cie specialised in bronze-decorated fire-places and fire-fittings and these large chenets are supreme examples of their output. The firm participated in the 1878 and 1900 Paris Expositions Universelles.
