12¼ in. (31.1 cm.) long
70 oz. (2,172 gr.)
The arms are probably those of Lees of Blackrock, co. Dublin. The date of the piece suggests that the arms are those of the Rev. Sir Harcourt Lees 2nd Bt. (1776-1852) and perhaps were engraved to celebrate his marriage to Sophia (d.1874), daughter of Colonel Thomas Lyster of The Grange, co. Roscommon. Harcourt Lees was the eldest son of Sir John Lees 1st Bt. and succeeded his father as the second baronet in 1811.
