The armor comprising the sixty-two-plate russet iron sujibachi (ridged helmet bowl), the large tehen-no-ana (aperture at the crown) with hachimanza of four-tiered gilt and shakudo chrysanthemum surrounds, the five-tiered manju-jikoro (neck guard) with black hon-kozane (individual scales) laced with dark blue, and two upper tiers of white and red, the double fukigaeshi (turnbacks) with gilt triple-tomoe (comma shape) mon, the maedate (forecrest) of a silver crescent moon raised between gilt copper kuwagata (stylized horns) in a fixture pierced and carved with chrysanthemums, expansive mabisashi with gilt fukurin (edging), gold-lacquered menpo (face mask) with flaring white moustache, four-tiered yodaregake (throat protector), the nimai-do (two-piece cuirass) of rows of blue-laced honkozane (individual scales), munatori (breast section) of white and red lacing, the munaita (upper part) of stencilled leather with two gilt triple-tomoe (comma shapes) mon, the sode (shoulder guards) and seven-tasseted kusazuri (skirt) of five tiers with lacing matching the cuirass, two applied gilt triple-tomoe mon, the five-tiered seven-tasseted kusazuri (skirt) also matching the do (cuirass), the substantial tsutsu-gote (sleeves) with silvered iron plates, the tekko (hand covers) with gilt mon of opposed holly leaves with the character "oto," matching shino suneate (splinted shin guards), and Etchu haidate (Etchu-style thigh protectors) on blue and gold silk brocade; with double red-lacquered box
