A set of cloisonné enamel tea utensils
(20th century), inlaid wire mark Hayashi Tani (Hayashi Tanigoro)
The set comprising a mizusashi (fresh-water jar) with lacquer lid, kensui (waste-water jar) and futaoki (lid rest), worked in gold wires and polychrome enamels in shippo tsunagimon (continuous enamel patterns) around the neck, the body designed with green and blue cartouches containing a phoenix, dragon, tiger and carp against a milky white ground, with floral patterns in between each cartouche, foot and rim with gilt mounts, signature on base of mizusashi and kensui

With wood box dated and authenticated Taisho koshin no shunmyo (1920) Hayashi Tani sei kore jukko no ichi Koki'o Sohan and with kao (cursive monogram) (3)
