Two earthenware dishes
Meiji period (late 19th century), second signed Nakamura Kikei zo
The first a foliate-shaped shallow dish decorated over the crackled transparent glaze in polychrome enamels and gilt with a relief-moulded rakan and monkey sitting on a rock by a waterfall, the monkey releasing from his hand vapor from which issue two snakes, the rim with stylized flower and geometric patterns; the second a small and shallow circular dish decorated over the crackled transparent glaze in polychrome enamels and gilt with the sailing Treasure Ship with the Shichifukujin, the rim decorated with combined fans, reverse side with various shaped fans, signature on the base
