A bronze figure of Vajradhara
Tibet, 15th century
Sitting in dhyanasana on a tall double-lotus base, his hands crossed before his chest holding the vajra and ghanta, dressed in a dhoti and adorned with a beaded belt, necklaces, and anklets with streaming ribbons draped over the elbows, the wide face with amused features centered by a raised urna flanked by foliate earrings and surmounted by a foliate tiara, the hair pulled into a high chignon secured with a finial, locks escaping over the shoulders
