A RARE SMALL YIXING TEAPOT AND COVER
SIGNED XIRU, QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
With compressed globular body, diagonally set spout, and loop handle, the slightly domed cover with pierced knop, the yellowish-brown stoneware with fine buff flecking throughout, with a three-character hall mark, Xiangyutang (Hall of Fragrant Jade), and a maker's mark, Xiru, inscribed in kaishu on the very slightly concave base
