Gandhara, 2nd/3rd century
Seated in 'Royal Ease' with his hands in dharmachakramudra, dressed in a dhoti and sanghati draped over the shoulder and adorned with various necklaces and threads, the face with serene downcast expression, the hair in wavy locks and tied in a topknot, backed by a nimbus, flanked by a pair of kneeling devotees, with the flask incised at the center of the base
