Prospective purchasers are advised that several co… 顯示更多 Property from the collection of Mr. C.F. van Veen (1912-1982) (Lots 283-303) Coenraad Frederik van Veen, was a banker and well known collector of Children's books in the Netherlands. During the 50's van Veen rented the castle Heemstede near Houten. Many of the present lots were bought to furnish this castle. Van Veen was something of a dandy, a self taught connoisseur of the Arts and gifted with an outstanding eye for quality.

Together with a silver embroided red marrocain wallet, Constantinople, 1746, Cornelis Sluyper - 18 cm. wide, a red marrocain necesairre, with initials M.C.v.L. - 14.3 cm. wide, a mother-of-pearl and pewter mounted ball book - 9.4 cm. wide and a mother-of-pearl fragment of a fan - 14.5 cm. wide (5)
