The case of typical form, the double arched hood with soundfrets to the sides, surmounted by giltwood figural finials, the brass dial with C-scrolled spandrels, the arched silvered chapterring signed Andries Feenstra Amsterdam, the matted and engraved center with subsidiary seconds ring and dated aperture flanked by sectors for month and day of week, painted rolling moonphase above VI, surmounted by a polychrome painted recessed panel depicting a city scene in the background with seven rocking ships and a sea nymph, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and Dutch strike on two bells; pendulum, door key and two brass weights
