(Light soiling, 380mm split to green paper to left-hand side and a few other very minor splits and losses to right-hand side.) The map contained in a contemporary semi-circular reeded mahogany and oak case (147 x 2130 x 133mm), title panel lettered in gilt (extremities rubbed).

A FINE COPY OF TEESDALE'S MONUMENTAL WORLD MAP. The Republic of Texas, declared in 1836, was not recognised by Britain and is not noted on this third edition of this map, being shown as part of Mexico. Not in Phillips.
