Princess Marie-Thérèse-Louise de Savoie-Carignan, Princess de Lamballe (1749-1792) was the daughter of Louis-Victor di Savoia (1721-1778) Prince of Carignano 1741-1778. She lived at Versailles from 1770 and became a confidante of Queen Marie Antoinette, serving as superintendent of her royal household. The Princess was killed during the September 1792 massacres of the French Revolution due to her entanglement in the Queen's plans to stifle the revolt.
