Lot Essay

Marie José of Belgium was the youngest and only daughter of Albert I of Belgium (1875-1934), King of the Belgians 1909-1934. She was installed as President of the Italian Red Cross in 1939. After the Second World War, she settled near Geneva where she dedicated her life to uncovering the history of the House of Savoy.
