A TEPE SIALK PAINTED POTTERY SPOUTED VESSEL
CIRCA 9TH-8TH CENTURY B.C.
The globular body with long horizontal bridge-spout and strap handle, decorated in reddish-brown, each side with an animal with long curving splayed horns, dotted chequerboard lozenge on one side and below handle, the other side with chequered lozenge, concentric bands of geometric decorations around spout base, cross-hatched lozenges and rays on the spout, neck with dots and chevrons
6 7/8 in. (17.5 cm.) high
