Lot Essay

This type of female head glass pendant appeared in the 3rd Century B.C. and was produced all around the Mediterranean, Carthage, Cyprus, the Near East and the Black Sea region; cf. V. Arveiller-Dulong and M.-D. Nenna, Les verres antiques du Musee du Louvre, Paris, 2011, p. 23.
