The Sphaera mundi is Sacrobosco's most popular astronomical treaties and one of the most frequently reprinted scientific books of the 15th century: over 30 editions are recorded between 1472 and 1501. In the present edition it is accompanied by J. Regiomantanus, Disputationes contra Cremonensia and G. Peurbach, Theoricae novae planetarum. The woodcuts first appeared in Johannes Santritter and Hieronymus de Sanctis's edition of 31 March 1488.
