AN ATTRACTIVE COPY. This early map of London includes the steeple of St. Paul's, destroyed in 1561. The arms of Elizabeth are displayed in the top left hand corner and the arms of the city on the right. The royal barge on the river, and the bull and bear-baiting pits on the Surrey side, are all quite conspicuous. The delicately drawn figures in the foreground are omitted in later editions. Darlington & Howgego p.50.
