BELNOS, Mrs S.C. The Sundhya or the daily Prayers of the Brahmins, illustrated in a series of original drawings from nature, demonstrating their attitudes and different signs and figures performed by them during the ceremonies of their morning devotions, and likewise their Poojahs. London: 1851. Large 2° (570 x 410mm). Lithographic title with hand-coloured vignette and 24 hand-coloured lithographic plates by Day & Son. (Introductory leaf lightly browned, some occasional light spotting and browning to plates, slightly heavier to title.) Slightly later half morocco, morocco gilt lettering piece to upper cover, red edges, marbled endpapers (lightly rubbed, more heavily at head and tail of spine).
