Oviform, the shoulder enriched with gilt-scale pattern, each finely painted and hand-tooled in white slip with a putto either standing and holding a scythe and a rose stem or tearfully sacrificing a butterfly at an altar, reserved on a powder-gilt ground, the base edged with egg-and-dart pattern

Based on the Mintons Shape Book indistinct entries, the present examples are possibly titled 'Harvest' and 'Butterfly'. This pair are recorded among the period photogrphs in the Minton archive, file no. 1638, box 89, no. 34.
