THE MOUNTS BY CHRISTOFLE ET CIE., PARIS, THIRD QUARTER 19TH CENTURY

Christofle is distinguished for producing fine quality pieces, predominantly tablewares, large scale centerpieces and candelabra in electroplate, silver and gilt-bronze. Although it is rare to find their stamp on a gilt-bronze furniture mount it shows the range and breadth of their output, which, under the direction of Henri Bouilhet, included grand-scale reproductions of celebrated 18th century models.
