The shaped rectangular top inset with a gilt-tooled tan-colored leather writing surface, above three frieze drawers to the front and false drawer fronts to the reverse, the bombé sides centred by a Bacchic mask, the angles with scrolled acanthus clasps headed by rams' masks, on cabriole legs and scrolled acanthus-capped feet, the underside twice stamped MADE IN FRANCE
