OTTOMAN TURKEY, 19TH CENTURY
Silver gilt settings with inset diamonds and rubies, formed as a stylised version of the Ottoman coat of arms consisting of the large crescent moon and star along with two flags, one with a pink crescent, representing the flags of the Ottoman dynasty and that of the Islamic Caliphate, set on a base of pointed weapons and scrolling vines, some small areas of rubbing to the gilt surface, with large pin on reverse
