A George III salt cellar and a Victorian salt cellar,
each of tapering oval form and on a rising oval foot, the former applied with beading and reeded scroll handles, pierced with a Vitruvian scroll frieze and bright-cut with floral and foliate swags, one side engraved with a monogram, maker's mark indistinct, London 1784 - 5¾in. (14.50cm.) overall, the latter applied with lion's mask and ring handles and with a punch-beaded rim, the body bright-cut in the 18th Century taste with floral and foliate swags, Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1886.
