AFGHANISTAN, 11TH/12TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form, carved with a central niche with trefoiled arch, a stylized mosque lamp hanging from the arch, the columns at either side with stylized cypress trees, bordered with inscriptions in naskh script from Qur'an III (sura al 'imran), v.18 and Qur'an LV (sura al-rahman), v.26-28, corners chipped otherwise intact
