The fine watered-steel single-edged blade of typical form broadening towards the tip, with flat back edge and broad fuller, one side inscribed in gold thuluth script, the forte gold-damascened with floral decoration and calligraphic cartouches, the silver pistol-shaped hilt with straight guard and quillons, the silver sheath with fine repoussé work with repeated kidney-like medallions amidst foliage, with silver openwork mounts set with foiled cabochon rubies and green gems, with two suspension rings, with silver-gilt openwork finial
