With Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin dated 8 October 1993, Extract of the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1993 and its subsequent sale on 12 May 1993. Further delivered with a platinum glazed display screw back number 2'928'264, user manual, an additional silvered dial, a set of hands, an original veneered presentation box and outer packaging.

Consigned by a private collector and preserved in very good, original overall condition, the present watch has never been offered in public before.

The celebrated reference 3970 was in production from 1986 until 2004. The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 305.
