With Rolex original fitted green presentation box and outer packaging.

The present reference 6239 is a particularly attractive example of the legendary "Cosmograph Daytona", distinguished by its extremely good overall condition and the unusual mesh bracelet dating from 1969, year following the production of this watch. Commonly fitted with the Oyster or Jubilée bracelet types, the mesh version enhances the masculine yet elegant appearance of this sophisticated chronograph model.

In recent years, reference 6239 has more and more been associated to the Paul Newman dial version, to the extend where standard examples with the classic Cosmograph dial have become the exception. Specimen of such fantastic and unmolested quality only seldom appear on the market and should be seriously considered by any lover of this landmark model.

Reference 6239 is described and illustrated in Rolex Daytona - a legend is born by Carlo Pergola, Stefano Mazzariol, Giovanni Dosso, pp. 44 - 61, and in I Cronografi Rolex - La Leggenda, Pucci Papaleo Editore, pp. 296 - 303.
