A CANTON PIERCED AND CARVED IVORY BRISÉ FAN
LATE 18TH CENTURY, CIRCA 1790
The fan is decorated to one side with three oval vignettes painted depicting ladies in various pursuits and figures welcoming a man. The reverse has a further three oval vignettes that are decorated with flower bouqets.
