LATE MING DYNASTY, 17TH CENTURY
The top of both covers are carved and reticulated with scenes depicting figures in garden settings. The base of each vessel is inscribed with poetic lines in caoshu script which correspond with the scene depicted on the covers, ending with a two-character signature.
