A CARVED AND RETICULATED WHITE JADE 'DRAGON' FINIAL
YUAN DYNASTY (1279-1368)
The finial is finely carved and reticulated to depict a two-horned dragon amidst a dense network of cloud scrolls, supported on a concave base. The stone is of a pale greyish-white tone, with darker inclusions.

Compare a Yuan 'dragon' finial on a celadon jade censer in the Palace Museum, Beijing, illustrated in The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum - Jadeware (II), Hong Kong, 1995, pl. 182.
