A RED-OVERLAY WHITE GLASS BOTTLE VASE
QIANLONG INCISED FOUR-CHARACTER MARK WITHIN A DOUBLE SQUARE AND OF THE PERIOD (1736-1795)
The pear-shaped body of the vase is delicately carved and incised through the red glass to reveal a creamy white ground, depicting a crane in flight and four further cranes standing on rockwork beside a tall pine tree, lingzhi fungus and a flowering peony branch, all beneath two bats in flight amidst scrolls of clouds around the neck.
