An immensely deep appearance; low-keyed yet massive, sweet, slightly singed nose; very sweet, immensely powerful, very high extract, packed with fruit and tannin. Enormously impressive to taste but hardly suitable to accompany a meal. K.Last tasted Sept 1998 ***** for sheer monumentality M.B.
