Tasting Note: "Wonderful! The initial impression of the nose on the '00 Cheval showed a fair bit of wood at first, but it opens up with lovely, ripe black cherry and plum aromas on the nose with an earthy edge. On the palate the wine is very powerful and very firm but not at all astringent, with a solid, mouthfilling texture and very good length. This should last for decades to come - impressive."
