Arabic manuscript on paper, 520ff. plus 4 fly-leaves, each folio with 11ll. of black naskh script between thick double black-ruled gold bands, with gold and polychrome roundel verse markers outlined in black, sura headings in red thuluth script within cartouches, marginal markers in red thuluth script, with marginal gold and polychrome illuminated medallions, catchwords, opening bifolio finely illuminated in gold and polychrome, followed by an illuminated headpiece, with numerous illuminated bifolios throughout, the name of God picked out in red or blue, preceded by an index and followed by prayers, in original lacquer covered binding with flap, back cover slightly loose
