Gouache heightened with gold on paper, the lightly-bearded man sits against a cushion on a terrace holding prayer beads in his left hand, inscribed above in black shah zadeh mirza ...., identification inscription on the cushion reading Mu'izz al-Mulk wazir Akbar Padshah (Mu'izz al-Mulk, Minister of Akbar Padshah), some creasing to sides, light wear and marking, small patches of over-painting to sky, framed and glazed, together with a late 18th century Marwar painting depicting two seated nobles

Mir Mu'izz al-Mulk is depicted in a painting by Farrukh Bey in the Akbarnama now in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The meeting depicts the meeting between the royal Mughal emissary and the rebel Bahadur Khan in 1565 (Susan Stronge, Painting for the Mughal Emperor, The Art of the Book 1560-1650, V&A Publications, 2002, pl. 28, p. 44 and IS.2:96-1896 https://collections.vam.ac.uk/item/O9522/painting-interview-between-the- royal-emissary).
