Carved in a beautiful curved shape and decorated with a complex hatched motif. These geometric forms highlighted with white pigments were certainly meaningful for their creators, but remain a mystery to us. The thinness of the sculpture along with the concave overall shape reminds us the form of a dried bark or leaf; the rich patina attests to its significant age.
