See footnote to lot 121. This appears to be one of the pair of pole-screens sold with the Coventry suite at Christie's in 1973. At the time, the suite was dated to George I's reign and the screens were catalogued as 'en suite but of mid-eighteenth century date'. Another instance where fire screens were supplied en suite with matching seat furniture can be seen with the celebrated Stansted Park suite attributed to John Linnell, sold Christie's, New York, 23 November 2010, lots 105-108.
