The following lots 278 to 450 are from a European collector and include the Finest & Rarest wines from the most prestigious wine producers from around the globe. All the wines featured in this collection are not less than outstanding and highly sought-after and would be a very welcome addition to any collectors' cellar or wine list.
From Bordeaux, the collection encompasses all the First Growths, Lafite Rothschild, Latour, Mouton Rothschild, Margaux & Haut-Brion, Classed Growths and the very finest wines from Pomerol and St-Emilion. Outstanding vintages such as 1982, 1985, 1986, 1989, 1990, 1995, 1995, 2000, 2003 & 2005 are heavily represented. The delectable sweet wines of Sauternes are featured including a selection of Château d'Yquem including the outstanding 1983, 1988, 1989, 1990, 2001 and 2003 vintages.
Burgundy is heavily featured, with an impressive vertical lot of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Grand Cru 1995 to 2000 vintages, and wines from esteemed producers such as de Vogüé, Dujac, Henri Jayer, Leroy, Méo-Camuzet, Armand Rousseau, and many more.
From the Rhône, Hermitage La Chapelle, Guigal, Henri Bonneau and Chapoutier; outstanding wines from Spain, Italy, Germany and Australia, and an impressive collection of Californian's finest, with legendary producers, such as Stag's Leap, Dalle Valle, Harlan Estate, Caymus, Joseph Phelps, Screaming Eagle, Schafer, Bond, Colgin, Sloan and many more. Outstanding champagne from Krug, Salon and Louis Roederer's Cristal completes this impressive collection.
Lots 278 to 450 were inspected and packed by Christie's specialists and removed from an excellent private cellar on the Continent and transported to EHD specifically for this sale.
