This humble 26-page pamphlet was ONLY THE SECOND PUBLICATION DEVOTED ENTIRELY TO GOLF. This is the third edition, following two editions in 1833. The poetical niceties are an opening 'Address to St Andrews', 'The Golfiad', 'The First Hole at St Andrews on a Crowded Day' and, new to this edition, 'Another Peep at the Links'. Hopkinson calls for a binding of 'thin Tartan paper boards and reddish-brown linen back' but it seems likely there were variants. HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER. Hopkinson p. 19; Murdoch 114.
